I agree Triple Six. Sounds like the power was turned down. Also the computer takes readings from the EGR so it could be running in fail safe mode. NO POWER. I have a a day cab with the same set up w/ the exception of an 18 spd. Hwen I bought it as a backup truck it was set at 400hp but the engine sticker said 460hp. So I took it to Volvo and had it turned up to max and reset the password in the computer so I could access it from the cab. It made a huge improvement. As far as injectors go. They get dirty from poor fuel quality. So I'd try Lucus Fuel ijector cleaner before spending any money on them. Hope this helps.

I suggested a dyno because of the complaint: low power. A dyno can tell you several things such as how much power the engine is making, fuel economy, blow-by, boost, and other basic performance data. No it probably won't help to pinpoint a failing injector, but that's not why I suggested it.
You're correct: most dealers won't work on your engine if the EGR is disabled. For instance, all cummins shops have a policy to turn you away if your EGR is disabled. Perhaps you can plug it back in? Also, if it's unplugged on a cummins the ECM derates the power. Is it possible the "low power" complaint on your volvo is due to the EGR being unplugged? -
ok here is what I have done so far: connected the egr's back on, changed egr cooler (it was leaking), ran dyno only putting 365hp, all other readings were ok boost psi, fuel psi, air-to-air no leak and no other air leaks either ooo and cylinder balance was ok too.
still same problem wtf?????? -
i know this is a rookie question...but fuel filter? or that black crap in your tanks?
