Depends on what's available after orientation. No successful company is going to let a load sit or a customer wait, if there's a driver and tractor available. If the driver is new and the tractor is new, then you just lucked out.

I have been with them for 7 months. The first truck I was assigned was an '08 volvo 760 with 400,000 miles. Nice truck in good shape. I had some problems with breakdowns though. In 6 months it was in the shop for various reasons about 6-7 times. At 470,000 miles on the volvo, they put me in a 2013 Kenworth t660. I think when you start, they will put you in whatever is available at the time. I have seen guys get a newer truck right from the start.
