And I don't spend a lot of my own money, it doesn't cost much to be clean! (My chrome is earned with Pilot points, and I rarely spend my own money on anything for the truck but polish and cleaning supplies) It doesn't take long to keep up with the work. You're just jealous because I have a life out here, I am not handcuffed to my stearing wheel, I walk for miles when I have time to go to a movie or whatever, and yes I am not a pig. Still waiting to hear what is actually wrong with this! Let me guess, you're single?

By the way, again you don't read, I am on the truck with my husband who has always taken care of his ride and himself, it's called self respect. We haven't been married that long, but a very attractive trait is having pride it what you do! I don't even drive and I care. People see how you care by how you look and how you live. Your truck is where you live, if it's a mess, so are you! It's no different then when I worked in an office, I didn't leave food all over my desk, or trash all over the floor. It's called being a professional! Your truck is the company's business card.

Also, who in the world said I was fat? Yeah, you're a class act.

It makes me feel a lot better to be in a clean environment as well, though, I focus more on the interior than the exterior. It sounds like you all focus on both. I do take advantage of the monthly Blue Beacon wash which is a nice benefit. The thing I like most about having the outside of the truck clean, is, when I go to clean the inside I can sit things down on the catwalk without getting them dirty. I don't have to worry about getting myself dirty rubbing up against the truck as I climb in and out while cleaning the inside. I have a hand-vac which I keep plugged in and charged to keep clean as I go in addition to using the compressed air to blow dust and debris out. I feel like a completely different person driving down the road in a clean truck as opposed to a dump. I just can't do it. I'll lose sleep to clean if that is what it takes. Maybe I have a phobia. ha

I guess the pay is all relative because you have to get the miles to make any rate worth it. That being said, they are a little on the low end with .36cpm being the the cap. But I look at the whole picture in my decision to continue working there. It may be good for me, but not for you or others.

One reason I went there is because of their location, Fargo, so I do get out West a fair amount. I may get stuck sometimes running around the east for a few days but get out before long. Nice, new, equipment. Again, may not mean much to some. But I like not having to mess around with a lot of the problems that come with old equipment. Refrigerator in cab and swivel driver's seat are a couple of features I like. I also have a dog and they allow pets.

The deductible on the health insurance went up to $2500 last year but it is BCBS and covers most everything in the event you really need it. They only match 1/4 on the 401k but that is better than nothing.

If you look at the map on the website it looks like they do hire in MA. It's just a matter of if they need drivers in that region right now. There is no referral or sign-on bonus because it seems they don't have any problems getting drivers. They expect you to stay out 3 weeks.

Wow... I'm surprised some of that.... except for a couple of haters, it seems like drivers are pretty happy there for the most part... the deal breaker for me is the 3 weeks out... I've been pretty happily married for 25 years and wish to remain that way... Thanx for your response.

Been married for 15 years, staying out 3-4 weeks fore for my wife and I. She is in upper management in her job, and works 12 hrs. + days some times. And comes home and works a couple of hours more. When im home, she cuts back to 8 hour days, or tries to have the same off. No kids , so no need to worry about that.
Holland does treat us with respect. We have a problem, we can talk it out, get an acceptable solution. Being a small company is great. You get to know everyone on the office.
Yes the cap is .36, but im pretty sure they bump it up. If they don't , I wonder why they have a few drivers with u20+ years still here.

I didn't even mention the money... less money working for a fairly honest company far outweighs a company full of crap and aggravation.

    skibum_63 and MNdriver Thank this.

I am with skibum, it is so less stressful here than at past companies. You will get the rediculous load once in a while that you have to fight with them about, but that is just dispatchers. You'll get that anywhere. For the most part it's smooth sailing. I wish I made more, had to drop the new rediculous health insurance (family is 10 grand out of pocket, on top of premium, before a dime is covered), but kept the rest. (Went through OOIDA for doctors). The good definitely outways the bad.

May 23rd, is two years here for me, and as a anniversary gift of sorts,
My Medical insurance will be paid by the company, on the policy that I have currently in place.
That's like getting a raise each month. :)
