What do they do in US Xpress orientation?

they rejected my cousin while he was at orientation because he couldnt squat and walk like a duck under the trailer

Why is training so long?

 

Less than 3 weeks with a trainer does not seem like very long to me. If you mean the 8 weeks teaming it is because they can make a ton of money off you at .32 a mile and they know they can get away with it. I think it is still better for you than most training programs out there.

 

THE 120 HRS TEAMING BEFOR A UPGRADE..CAN GO LONGER..ITS UP TO THE COMPANY...I HV A FRIEND THAT IS WITH USX TEAMING HIS 120 IS UP DEC 5.BUT THEY WONT BRING NEATHER ONE OF THESE GUYS IN TILL DEC,23...HE STARTED WORKING OCT 12 HE HAS ONLY BEEN HOME 2 DAYS ....IN ALMOST 90.....DAYS....WHICH IS TOTALY BS......IM ON A dedicated route .AND IM DOING QUITE WELL..DONT GET ME WRONG IT HAS ITS BS TOO..BUT WHAT COMPANY DOESENT GV U THE SHAFT EVERY NOW AND THEN...U JUST HV TO KNOW HOW MUCH #### U WILL TAKE...AS FOR USX TRAINING PROGRAM..I DO AGREE WITH HOW THEY DO IT...OTHER THAN KEEPING U GUYS OUT THERE RUNNING COAST TO COAST TEAMING FOR PENNYS,TILL U GET A 120 HRS,OR TILL USX FEELS LIKE GETTING U TO A terminal THAT UPGRADES,CAUSE NOT ALL USX terminal ,S,UPGRADE..OHHH AND NOT LETTING U NEW GUYS JUST STARTING OUT GET HOME,,IS JUST STRAIGHT BULL SH.. BUT I STILL WOULD recommend USX,AS A employer ...CAUSE THERE IS A LOT OF GARBAGE COMPANYS OUT THERE.......REMEMBER NEW GUYS AFTER YOUR 3 MNTS OF TRAINING WHEN YOU GO OUT ON YOUR OWN...YOU CAN JUMP ON A DEDICATED RUN..MAKE THE SAME AS EVERY ONE ELSE...39 CENTS A MILE,FAMILY DOLLAR,,,,GET HOME EVERY WK END...STACK SOME CASH,,GET BACK WITH FAMILY,AND THEN GO BACK OTR,IF THATS WHAT U RATHER DO.....MY POINT IS...YOU HV OPTIONS WITH USX..DONT GET MAD AND QUIT....U WONT HV ENOUGH TYM TO GO ALONE WITH ANOTHER carrier ,,U WOULD HV TO START THIS HARD TRAING CRAP AGAINNN....DONT QUIT...GD LUCK..HOPE THIS HELPED SOME ONE..GOOD LUCK..

 

Sammy, your friend needs to post something on the USX Drivers Facebook page. If management knew this was happening they would deal with it quickly. Post Monday - Friday during office hours and he will get a call within a few hours. This is not normal.

 

I agree with Craig. My training lasted a little longer than normal but not nearly as long as your friend. That's deff not right or normal. They should be getting your friend to a terminal ASAP after 120 BTW hours.

 

Us xpress is the baddest company I drove for ..they stole my miles...don't drive from them you will regret I promise you...first month they are so nice but when you get on the road you will hate yourlife because of the way they treat you..and when you get your paycheck you will hate your life

 

Well tonezaesss...i dont agree with u at all..yes usx. Needs some things worked out..like phones after 5 pm is a nightmar...but rip u off,worst company hate your life...woooooooo.....no way...like i said before...its been along tym sence i liked my job/ employer...usx is a ok.....sounds to me like u might hv something else going on bro.....u shouldent hate your life...also my checks are good..some beter then others...good luck...,,,,woek on a positive attude too.
