Yes all trucks come with them. Companypays for them unless u go lease tn u gotta pay on it in payments.

Granted the lightweight pete is small, if you get creative, it can still feel roomy enough for a couple weeks at a time. I've managed o fit a mcrowave, 2 weeks worth of food and clothing, 2 dffernt ham radios, one which is hf, reading material, basic tool kit, etc
Yes a fullsize truck would be nice, but it gets the job done.If you look at my pics yo can see some pics if my ride. -

Good information, the International and the Freightliner are the way to go. Peterbilt's are tiny, and the KW lightweights are as heavy as a Freightliner condo and the APU shop rarely install APU's on them as the tank layout makes it near impossible. As far as setup goes, mine's about the same as what's been previously described, I've got my fridge where the passenger seat was(they'll remove it and install a tiedown plate at no charge). I've got a little crockpot I can bungee to the straps that secure my fridge. All my clothes fit in the upper storage compartments or hang on the clothes rack(it ain't much, but it works). Not very much room under the bunk, the Freightliner's have a seperate bunk warmer from APU, so both sides of your bunk storage are taken up, all you have is a few feet in the middle. I keep a rubbermaid container down there with my dry foods, plenty of space to stuff your duffels and spare boots, shoes, etc. I keep a couple cases of water right in front of the fridge. All in all, it works out pretty well. Plenty of little cubbie's in the front to stuff your small things and a perfect area for your paperwork. Dashboard is as good of place as any for your atlas. I actually really like my truck, and the size works out pretty well. Word to the wise though, the Wabasco bunk heater's in the Freightliner's will cook you out quick, I usually run the heater with the APU's fan on to circulate the air better

ive started to notice prime midroof rigs. like a small step up from the lightweight but not an all out full size condo sleeper

Flatbed and tanker divisions use them; some in reefer occasionally.

I plan on running with my FT-100 and IC-901 on the truck. Gotta figure out how to mount a proper screwdriver antenna, as the ATAS-100, well, sucks.
