The thing is you did it(theoretically) ,so why get upset about it now?
The question is do you do it again or stand up and become pariah?
The company didn't make you do it driver, you agreed with your co-driver and kept on hammering.
'Luck with your decision. -
Any company that pressures you to run illegally, or knows you run illegally, and lets you get away with it, will hang your arse out to dry when the crap hits the fan.
You get into an accident, with injuries, or worse, even if it wasn't your fault...your log book is going to be looked at, and probably they will talk to every stop you made that day to check against what you put down.
You know what you are doing will get you in trouble. The company only does this and get away with it because drivers put up with it.snowman01 and TRKRSHONEY Thank this. -
oh I did it, not real upset about it. Just trying to decide what I want to do. It really does seem like a decent place to work. I know friday we were covering someone elses route and the guy didn't know it and was using a tomtom so we got lost a few times, plus wasted time training a new guy (me). The run yesterday was my guys normal run and he said when the planets align it can be done in 14 hours. We avoid all the known hotspots and scales for dot. There are 2 risk areas where we made sure my logs were presentable.
In any case I'm going to give it some time and see what happens, I posted this here because I know I will get some different perspectives and advice.Dinomite Thanks this. -
That's a big 10 4 on the fictitious log book, and the consequences of running like that. I wouldn't recommend it, but it does happen. Being overweight in that industry is common practice. Most of the times PA scales are not open anyway. When I was doing food service the 14 hour rule was non existent. So I'm sure trying to get all those stops off especially in NE would be full of laughs reading those comic I mean log books. Also everybody know's. Correction most people know that local is a joke and you work your tail off and the only part of the house you see is the bedroom. Spending quality time with the fam is normally 1 day that you are off if you are not too tired. Trying to get your body rest for the next week of dealing with crazy folks. Loving the OTR Life. You get more rest and more cash. Have fun looking for the perfect Local gig. Maybe you will not be so quick to believe the false advertisement. Its still trucking and the lies don't stop because its a local position. Good luck and stay safe.

In that case, thought is not necessary.
It's a made up story, and...
What do you want? -
theoretically , you may have a very prophetic screen name.
TRKRSHONEY and Dinomite Thank this. -
Actually, he comes by that name honestly. He explained it one time.
25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
CSA 2010 and all the other stuff you have to be responsible for. I wouldn't risk your CDL. No load is worth your lively hood or a life. As the song says "take this job and shove it!"
TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
Well today went alot better. Did 10 school drops and back to the terminal in 13 hours. I found out what went on with the whole Friday and saturday fiasco. Had a talk with the safety director and he flat told me never to do that again and I shouldn't have been asked. If I can't get my 10 hour break in just say I can't run until whatever time I'm available and it will be fine. Much happier now.
Moosetek13, Dinomite, Big Don and 1 other person Thank this.
