GambI80, when u put the 7's on... It didn't have that extra deep hmmmm to it? I heard a guy come off the hwy jakin it up n it was so loud it was kind of poppin. Not in a bad way cause em 8" stacks sounded good. I dont drive anymore but when I hop in my truck it's like my medicine.

I work for the railroad, so I get to run a short load 2-3 times a month tho. Even tho I ride trains everyday, I just can't get trucking out my system after 7.5 yrs otr. My driver been hounding me bout some straights, so that's why I need all this good feedback I been getting. Once again, thanks a lot n may god continue to bless u all

I just threw a set of 6 inch straights on my 05 twin turbo Acert and it's not loud at all. Running 2 turbos keeps the noise in check. Sounds perfect to me and made an incredible difference in how that truck runs.

Personally, I couldn't be happier with the 6 inch pipes. I'm not a professional driver, I farm. My truck sees about 15k per year hauling 100 to 110 k. The sound through the 6's and twin turbos has a nice growl under acceleration but is not annoying at idle or cruising speed. I like the performance increase, and being able to pull up to an elevator or ethanol plant and not have to shut down my engine to communicate over the intercom is a definite plus. It sounds similar to my brothers b model cat in a 379. He is running donaldson mufflers with 6 inch stacks. You definitely know it is there, but it is not obnoxious. Also, my turbos spool much faster and sound wicked as they hit 50 lbs of boost.

No its just a reg cat w minor changes from the 04-06's I believe. I think 03 or 04 is when they went to twin turbo

My buddy works in a shop and they have a TT 550 KW and instead of replacing the factory muffler they just got rid of it. No mufflers at all and it sounds just like my dads 6nz with 7's and a PP muffler underneath
