I have been on the road for 20 years. There were good companies back in the early 90's. But then the sons took over the business and most of them go bad. The sons with the "golden spoon" do not care about the people who take care of them. Just the profit nothing else matter. Sad but this is the reality today. No more good companies.

freespirit: In business it is often said that the first generation works hard and builds a nice small business. The 2nd generation takes it a step further and the business becomes larger and better. The 3rd generation spends all the money and before long the place is bankrupt. Happens all the time.

Has anyone heard or had experience with wilson truck lines out of toronto? Im thinking of putting a truck on there because of the .43 fuel cap. not sure how many miles i will actually get a week.

Waylon sold out to ATS (Anderson Trucking service) of st. Cloud, MN. Phone Waylon in Calmar and ask to speak to Dave Winacka.

I was all set to sign on with Sigma last winter. I was more than impressed when I spoke with the woman that runs the outfit. She actually considers her drivers as people not trucks, imagine that.
I only backed out after I was informed a nine page US (FMCSA) medical was required. It's got to be fifteen years since that was actually required. I will share that information wit a secure facility like motor vehicle dept., Alberta healthcare, etc. But the idea of it sitting in a file at some trucking company, to be shared with who knows who, really bothered me. I backed out on principle, but still wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if that's not a problem for you. Rather I should say I recommend having a chat with them, you will likely be impressed too.Last edited: Dec 13, 2012
