Just curious if anyone on here is using the hydrogen setups on their truck. i know a couple guys doing it with good results so far. wondering if anyone one else here had any input on this idea. good or bad. I have seen so far close to .6 to a gallon better at times and slightly more power.
hydrogen diesel set ups?

I'd be curious to hear more about them, I had a french canadian with a speech impediment try to explain it to me...so I got a very general idea of how it works. Anyone with some real knowledge?

Has nothing to do with topic, but got a hellofa good laugh just trying to imagine the conversation!

It was funny to look back on, but at the time I had to really focus on not saying something unintentionally offensive because of the gap in understanding :/ fail! hahaha

Taken from Who Framed Roger Rabbit near the first of the movie, there was the stage performance with 2 cartoon characters - Daffy Duck to Donald Duck - "This is the last time I work with someone with a speech impediment!"
Wife thinks I'm a tad juvenile 'cause I like cartoons too much; but she really likes King of the Hill ("the men are all so funny and stereotyped!") so what does that say?
Should be sorry for wrecking the thread... -
hahahaha,no big deal....i'm just seeing if anyone has much feedback on the system. man i havent seen roger rabbit movie since it was on vhs. long time ago for me. oldie but a goodie

Always have been curious how adding another fuel to the mix that will compete with the available oxygen for the burn will make the first fuel more efficient. On the surface it seems illogical. Oh well, there may be something there.
The biggest factor in all this is what is the cost to install and operate hydrogen system on the truck? If the ROI is way out into the future, if ever, then it probably isn't worth it. I have heard of a few folks that have tried propane and hydrogen. None of them had any real appreciable mpg gains that offset the cost of the unit and the continuing cost to operate it. My guess is that it is why this hasn't really gone "main stream" yet. There is not enough evidence that it does all that those who push it claim it does. -
I have yet to see any kind of a SAE test result from these hydrogen systems. I remember enough basic chemistry to know the amount of hydrogen they are cracking and inserting into the intake is miniscule compared to the HUGE volume of air that goes through a 15 liter engine at operating rpms. My guess is that any increase in performance is not coming from the actual hydrogen inserted, but that since it has to be fed into the intake system, at a higher pressure than whatever the turbo boost pressure is, you are getting better combustion just from having some more air at that higher pressuer put into the combustion chamber.

"I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way!" Put in your late Wish-list order for a DVD.
Merry Christmas!
