Drug testing

Someone once said in one of these threads, if you have to ask the question "Will I be able to pass the drug test?" that the answer is probably no.

 

What can you do to pass? Quit that ####. Your best bet is to just wait until your system is clear before accepting a job that will make you submit to testing. If you're that concerned over possibly not even being able to pass the wizz quiz without some kind of detox then you need to cool your heels for a bit anyways.

 

You might want the job, but the job doesn't want you. Driving a semi is dangerous enough without having to drive the same roads as impared drivers. Take the time to quit, get clean without spending money on some detox crap, stay clean, and go into this the right way. This is only the first of many random drug tests you will be subjected to so you might as well start off right.

 

Then stay clean and wait it out is the best I can say. I believe they can only accurately report the last 90 days from a hair test, but don't quote me on that one. I've never paid much attention to the specifics on drug tests because I just give my samples and go on my merry way because I won't pull positive for anything.

 

my wife, the nurse, says the hair test is good for about 90 days as well, depending on how habitual and length of hair if i remember correctly. you might want the job, but think of it this way...how many trucking jobs will you burn the bridges toward getting when you FAIL the drug test? what is it? 5 or 7 YEARS where NO ONE will hire you, and many will NEVER hire you after failing a drug test? urine test doesnt take too long to get clean, but hair test im thinkin you will fail. if you wanna drive a truck, you cant smoke weed, period. not once in awhile. not ever. even after getting hired, you never know when theyll send you a message telling you to come to the terminal for a drug test. its happened to me 5 times now. not trying to make any moral judgment about you as a person...just the facts ma'am. if you wanna drive a truck then stay clean and wait the 3 months is my humble opinion. not only because you know youll pass the preemployment test, but youll also know for sure you are capable of living without the weed. good luck to you...it certainly is do-able...i have a good friend who was a crackhead for a few years...we all have demons in our past, its how you deal with the present that matters.
