I'am going to school in New Hampshire for my Class A and im only 19 and i have learned that most companies insurance wont let them hire drivers under 21 so im curious as if thats how most trucking companies are and if not which companies are most likely to take new drivers under 21?
What to look for as far as jobs?

You may have to drive within the state until you are 21. This subject has been on here before & usually the driver states he drove with a local smaller company, intrastate(within the state) until he is 21, then a whole new world will open up to you.
Does you school help with job placement?
If not, check Careerbuilder & Craigslist. -
they give job leads and placement assistance but thats it and i asked them about it and they dont even know of any companies like that and i called a couple of sand and gravel companies around me and the insurance says i got to be 21

See if you can find a route you can do (fedex), and you will in the very least have some experience with a company when you go look for a job at 21.

Do a search for custom harvesters there will be about a hundred of them looking for truck drivers in the early part of April thru october,if you can stand to be away from home for 4 or 5 months and handle the 18 to20 hour days when it is not raining you Will know how to drive a truck when the season is finished. It will open your eyes to how important agriculture is in the USA. The harvesters are exempt from most of the rules like age and hours and so on.

im guessing you have done it spacetrucker88? how much is good pay and how much is where they r screwing u?

Can't speak for these big custom harvesting outfits what they pay or what not. But growing up on a farm the hours and weeks were long when harvesting, the pay was low, but you made a fat checks (for me anyways being a teenager) that were really nice at the end of the week... It was sort of like training for being a company driver in a big truck, long hours, low pay with a "big looking" paycheck at the end of the week..
But you really ought to check that attitude at the door when you leave the house if you're going to do farm work. You're inexperienced... know nothing, entry level, suck it up and do what you're told maybe you might learn something. Might even motivate you for something bigger in life. You're not gonna be a bossman as soon as you sign up... Good luck.. -
What attitude rollin coal i dont have one? And i dont want to be a boss anytime soon if at all i dont know anything about trucking thats why i joined this website to get tips and info from those that have the experiance so i figure the more knowledge u pro truckers throw at me the more i can learn and have a general idea what to expect!
