i would not move it as a single. But if i could ₯ build upon that, to make a good paying load into chicago. With something back out? Then its something to keep on the side burner

I would think that broker would have time to drive it there himself before he finds someone who will haul it for that. Even filling out an LTL load, thats cheap. I know an O/O who likes putting together LTL loads. And he says for it to work well, each pickup needs to at least pay the fuel. That was just a rule of thumb he used for fast figuring. Seemed to make sense.

well yeah, but assuming he lives in boston he would still have to get back...so even if his light duty truck gets 20 mpg HE still cant do it that cheap...and that assumes he gets paid zero (that would seem fair...he doesnt seem to value a trucker's time much higher than that)

its an ltl load you put it with a good paying load and its a great paying load. to many money hurgry truckers that want out of this world rates. get back to this world. i could understand if it was a full load at that rate......

Our company does have a lowbed that does this type of thing for Clark I believe. And if you say, run between LA and SAC, move 12 to 15 forklifts a day all of a suddenthis becomes a fairly good rate. Point is if its not somthing you do you really can not judge the rate.

Our truck runs north on Mondays and come back on Tuesday, It may move anywhere from 20 to 30 lifts on each leg. That between 750.00 1050.00 per day to the company. Not that bad.

Could the forklift be loaded on a car carrier and perhaps become part of a car shipment between them? Might be profitable then? I really don't know, just asking if that's a viable, realistic possibility.
