2002 Int 9400i w/c15. What is the cooling system capacity for this truck? When I drained it, all I got out was 7 gal. It would only hold 7 gal at refill. I sure seems like it would be more. Am I missing something here?
C15 6NZ cooling system capacity.

7 gallons seems awfully low..... Hoods (379, W9, Classic) hold 12 gallons with a 3 row radiator. My T600 with a 3 row held 10 gallons max. Now with a 4 row it holds 14 gallons...

Thanks for the reply. This was I was thinking also. My old Volvo with 3406 would hold a little shy of 12 gal. Do you think the radiator may be blocked? (truck does not overheat) If there is air trapped in the system, would it purge itself out after driving? Any suggestions you can give is appreciated.

Do you think I may have a blocked radiator, or air lock? I first noticed this a few months ago when I first got the truck. Had a hose to break on the road. After the repair, I topped it off, and, drained and refilled when I got home. It would only take 7 gal. A couple of weeks later, I drained and refilled: got 7 out, and 7 in brought it to full. Truck does not over heat, but does loose coolant from the overflow tube. Any ideas?
