Wow I'm struggling to get above 6 at times. I've had quite a few in the 5.5-5.7 range lately. T800 500 hp Detroit, 3.55s, 22.5lp caps that need to go. I run at 59 mph in 12th gear. Engine is healthy put down good power, oil samples good, New cac and recent valve set. I have a fulltilt manifold that needs to replace the leaky stock one. I also run primarily mb, nd, mn, wi, ia, and il.

I've had a few tanks above 7 but I'm probably averaging 6.2 or so. Haven't had this truck long enough to get a good idea.

    Average 5.8mpg
    Highest: 8.2mpg(empty)
    Lowest: 3.2mpg

    2013 international prostar+
    435hp maxxforce
    10 speed eaton/fuller
    2.90 gears
    48' spread axle standard flats

I run 64mph everywhere, foot to the floor. If I set my cruise then the sensor on my bumper hits my brakes. So I don't use cruise control

Kinda cheered me up after reading all these. My 500 detroit gives me 5.2 loaded, empty, uphill, down, sideways. Still better than my last detroit, 4.8 all day long. It always leaves me scratching my head when people are on about the great mileage they get.

    twolane and DrtyDiesel Thank this.
