Do not hide a key under the hood if the hood is released from the inside. Maybe a duh statement but I thought it needed to be said. dont ask me how i know.

My mechanic works on my truck and I usually dont even see him.keep one zip tied to your engine compartment.I wrap mine in a baggie to keep road crud off from it

That why I drive Volvo only(many other reasons). You will not ever lock a door without key, and I think keyless entry standart option in last years trucks. Remote control has very ugly designs, but its better than no keyless
I drove Colambia many years ago and while driving playing with triangle window lock and broke it(button), so when i locked key inside I open window with wire with hook.
Also you can remove rubber seal between door and window and open lock with wire hook. -
with all the dac BS. i can't really blame anyone for lieing to there company.
now if it was a company that DOESN'T use dac. then that's a whole different story. cuz you've got nothing to worry about.
but with the other companies who will do anything to ruin your life. heck, i'd lie too. -
OK, this is how it's done. The little black knob that sticks outside the vent window, latch onto it with a pair of vice grips and twist up. This will turn the inside latch up so the window is unlocked and can be opened. After opening the door, pull the vice grips down to the original position and the vent window will work likw new. It may take a little pressure the first time, but if it is easy to twist the outside know you can be sure someone has been locked out before and did this trick.
