FIVE TARPS???? How tall was this load??? I would guess it would have had to have been like 20' tall and 80' long in order to need FIVE tarps..... Can you expand on that just a little? Unless you are counting canvas I guess..... but don't count them- we all double-tarp using the canvas.
And yeah, loading and unloading WILL eat into your drive time until you start getting your own personal system- or "groove". Don't fret, you are not experiencing anything that nobody else has. THIS is exactly the "Buttkicking" to which I referred. Speed will come with time like everyone is telling you.
And as far as the "wth?? message", your FM expects these things from the new drivers. They are not going to push you. They will let you start to get your "sea legs" the first couple of trips- there is a bit of a learning curve.

Can anyone (EXCEPT SARGE) guess what it is? (Sarge already knows because I talked to him about it)vhughes Thanks this. -
Oh don't feel bad about two hours. When I get the loads out of majestic going to South Carolina. Usually it's all of my chains and about 5 straps all my canvas tarps and both steel tarps.
In the summer when it's 100+ degrees it will take me two hours to take it all off put away. I can't stand the heat. -
It looks like a take-up drum for a cranejxu417 Thanks this.

If that's not it let me know. Then I will cheat and call Sarge. LOL
