I expected them to up hold there contract with me.
450 for the first 4 weeks
500 for week 5 and 6.
week 7 my own truck.
They didn't hold up the contract with me. -
That money is once your on a trainer truck. You bailed after 1 week. And you didn't take a single advance?
-
they settled for bad gigs or have heard of people who have...im a truck driver fresh out of "school" only people making as much or close to as much in fast food are in n out gms they make 80-100k I think with bonuses etc or so I was told by my old neighbor who is an in n out gm. $500 every two weeks is laughable in the oil field our sr driver makes that daily when its all said and done.
-
Definitely not. It was at Pride when they still paid per mile during training.
-
Training is paid at a flat rate with most companies but that's a different topic. This thread is about truckers comparing their mileage pay against fast food workers' hourly pay
-
If I compared mine I doubt I would make $23.40/hour at McDonald's
-
Hourly wages vs cents paid per mile is a bogus argument in any case. Compare year-end results, net before taxes. Your fast food worker is lucky to break $20k. The vast majority of truck drivers are well beyond that.
cowboy_tech, passion4polishing, Trucail and 1 other person Thank this. -
But I make well more than a mileage paid driver since I am hourly...
amiller and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
@nate hourly is good but I think the best gig is mileage plus hourly pay for getting loaded/unloaded, etc
