How much more do you want to know? Can't you read? I think it has been posted by many, what a bunch of scammers this co. is. Did you miss the lawsuits they are involved in? So what are you? Related to, neighbors, drinking buddies or part of that dishonest co. I think if you talk to the van driver that picks up the unsuspecting victims, you will get all dirt you need from him. The majority of us on this post care less what you have to say...:biggrin_25516:Now you have the rest of the story

Full Story..how would you know any ones full story. I dont think they are lying. in fact i would almost beat they are not!. my husband worked for them and they are the worst company we had ever been too. NOT at all what they were telling us up front!...Hook, Line and sink'em. They almost did us. Yes Im sure there have been times where it wasnt there fault. But this company i would say practice this way. They look at it as for every one who leaves they prob get 2 walk in. I just wish i could answer why these companies do this. Other than more money in there pocket. So yea. there are always 3 sides.. in this case i am the third side. Stay away from Hurricane Express!!

Yes. They are in Siloam Springs/Concord, OK. I just called them to see what they had to say. They are an O/O, L/P operation only. Now GET THIS!!! They are getting 30 NEW Pete 386's. Here's the breakdown directly from the horse's mouth....

TRUCK PAYMENT: $105.00 PER DAY! (every day your under a load or dispatched)
IFTA, TIRE ACCOUNT and REPAIR ACCT, ETC: $35.00 PER DAY! (same as above)
TRIPAK: $15.00 PER DAY! (same criteria as above)

TOTAL = $155.00 PER DAY while dispatched on a load.

TIME OUT = 4 - 6 weeks! HOME TIME: 2 - 4 days (if you live in AR or OK, you may get "through the house" more often).... yeah, right! They run primarily I-40 to CA and back to East Coast and A LOT of NYC and New England.

So, let's assume you are out for 30 days, then home for 2. In that time period (to be fair) let's say you "sat" not being dispatched for 4 days. That would then make the "dispatched" days = 26. So, 26 X's $155.00 = $4030.00!!! Not including FUEL, etc.

I told him that that was extremely expensive. Then the guy (Eddie) had the audacity to say, "If you can find a better deal than what we offer for a better price, I'll buy everyone of them you can find." I told him about a friend of mine with Hills Bros. and what he was paying (apple for apple) and that his bring home (gross) averages $1100-$1200 per week. There was a moment of "duh" silence, then "Eddie" said that their drivers gross bring home is between $700 - $1600 per week according to their running habits, etc. I said to Eddie, they bring in that much even with having to pay $4000.00 a month??? I should have asked him how many miles a week they averaged, but never got to that point... I just told him thanks, and hung up. But I suppose (and can almost guarantee) they are another outlaw company that will soon be out on their ear, change their name, and swindle more drivers out of their monies.

So... my honest opinion .... STAY THE HECK AWAY!!!

    DealBreaker Thanks this.

They are truly a scam. Their settlements are written where even my CPA said "WHAT?" over 5000 miles and got a check for 50 something dollars. Someone will kill them off one day.

Yes I work for them and have been with them aprox 18months and I do wish you people would quit talking BS about people you have no knowledge of. Th.ey are no different then any other company out there, I have been with the best and the worst. As far as Hurricane they have been around quite awhile along with the sister co NAEDOK.
