New Englanders Who Do You Work For?

NEW ENGLANDERS WHO DO YOU WORK FOR? What companies will give newbies a shot.I'm starting shool on the 17th with the Teamsters in RI not guarented plcement. Where should I look?

 

Will Do. I Start School On Monday At The Teamsters Local 251 Training Academy. What Shool Did You Go To? DO YOU WANT TO DO VAN,FLATBED, REEFER OR TANKER?

 

I've talked to a few companies that I can get on with but it also depends on what school I go to. In the end I felt the Teamsters school was going to be the best decision. There are tons of ltl jobs in the area and I'm not hung up on local. I want regional or otr if the home time is right. Best of Luck to you too Alamosa14 and danvan. Danvan I seen on another post you got some prehires. it might be time to just grab one and go for it, get the experience. they say 3mo to 6mo will open more doors than just being a newbie with a license and nowhere to go.

 

The more research I do the more it seems that the problem will be home time or you find a company that you think is good then all of a sudden you read post from newbies saying they're getting shafted or the company lost major accounts and is now treating their drives like crap.

 

Check conway at the first of the year if you wait arround. You will do more dock work at first then hit the road.They pay 18+ an hour. They have terminals in Ma.
