Hey there drivers. Just to let you know that CRST Expedited is loosing their operating authority for the state of Oregon. They are under investigation with the DOT for passing the threshhold in the unsafe category on the CSA. There was a recent fatality involving 2 female drivers (not students) in the state of Arizona near flagstaff.
The details of the Oregon permit are unknown to the drivers (although they did send a msg over qualcomm about Oregon pulling the permit) but a friend of mine in operations told me the DOT gave crst til Jan 2013 to make some permanent changes.
My personal opinion on this is that they will just pay all the fines, prolong it in court and with the new name change continue to operate. The CEO for Conway Freight was named CEO at CRST early this year. I guess we'll see what develops.
thanks.

From what i've seen of the idiocy displayed by crst drivers on the road as well as how ,pathetic their traing program and trainers are, i get nervous any time one of their POS trucks even comes near me, if FMCSA shuts that CRST down they would be doing the world a favor.
Joker85, flightwatch, Kwaione and 14 others Thank this. -
i just got a letter for a class action suit against CRST because i applied to them a few years a go. Seems i'm entiitled to $200 because they used the hireright stuf for the wrong thing. sounds like they are making a lot of mistakes. glad i went with another company

The HireRight thing is a matter with HireRight. As for the VanEx side, I can't say I'm very fond of them, either. When I was running for a fleet owner leased to CRST Malone, I was almost run over by a VanEx truck at the Love's in Leroy, IL. I called CRST VanEx, explained what had happened, and they hung up on me. I called again and explained it again, and also told them I was on the Malone side, and they did the same thing. So I called the agent I ran through and he gave them a call about it. I never followed up, but I'm assuming they weren't so quick to blow off an agent and fleet owner of 20+ trucks. I'm not one to normally get on the snitch box, but this guy came within three feet of running me over because he wanted to drive like a ####### through a truck stop parking lot.
That aside, I'm also wondering if you have an actual source for this, or if you're simply posting hearsay. Because rumors are abundant in this industry... the truth of the matter tends to not be so abundant.truckfam Thanks this. -
Wow that surely is bad news for CRST

Yeah. But good news for the rest of us.zentrucking, reefer75, Joker85 and 3 others Thank this.

CRST is still in the process of paying me and thousands of other former students settlement money for their illegal contracts, failure to pay state required minimum wages, and hireright/credit reporting issues. I cannot believe how a huge company like CRST continuously fails to cover their ##### time and time again...

Heard about a little company called Arrow Trucking? Some folks are just plain crooks.
