I am new to truckers report and still feeling my way around all the forums, and I saw the flatbed section and said cool... then I stumbled into this thread and, well I am lost! It appears you all seem to know each other very well. Any way I am a fellow flatbed'er and think I will keep my eye on you guys to see what all the fuss is about! So Merry Christmas...

 

A few things you need to know.

SHC is a nice guy, but he will haul all the cheap and heavy loads and doesn't add in anything for tarping.

Cluck would never drive anything but a big square hood, and favors easy one pick/one drop loads.

Bayou knows where to find all the high dollar freight out of Houston.

Skateboardman is a fly-by-night newbie.

And I don't know $^it cause I sit behind a desk all day.

I've made so much money, I can take 3 X 3 weeks vacation a year and go fishing in the FL Keys. I've got to stop them from giving me all those checks. They are piling up here.

cpape thanks for the come back! I love flatbed'ing for some odd reason but don't feel bad I don't know crap either I just hold the steering wheel and hope I figure out where I am going... Well from the looks of things this could be my corner to hang out in...

 

I have to be honest, you will probably gain more laughs than knowledge, but the open deck sites are where the fun is at. All those van guys are pissed off that they are working for nothing.

 

Nope can't help you there I don't know about any load you don't tie down!!

 

i have a Sister that can help you out with that.... if you pay her extra, she will just text instead of call and tell you all about why she needs money- trust me it's worth it to go the text route
