Since the Raven drivers have not answered regarding the passenger policy, I thought I would relate what I found out. Raven's current fleet of trucks include Volvo 670's and 780's (tho just a few of the 780's) and International Prostars (some with small bunks for the dedicated drivers, the others having a wider bunk and mid-roof). The entire linehaul fleet is slowly being converted over to the mid-roof Internationals.

All of the 780's have 2 beds, tho no new hire is likely to get a 780. Some of the 670s have 2 beds and some do not. None of Raven's Internationals have 2 beds.

Why does it matter how many beds a particular has and how does it relate to the passenger program? That is an excellent question and I am glad you extended your energy to ask it. The reason is Raven has a company policy of allowing passengers in their trucks, providing that particular truck has 2 beds. This is not a DOT policy, rule, regulation, or requirement, this is a Raven company policy.

What does that mean? Again, another excellent question. What that means is, if you have a single bunk truck, you can forget taking your kids with you during their vacation time and it also means you can will not be able or allowed to take your significant other with you either. One person per bed. You only have one bed? You can only have you in the truck.

relations only. Just found out that if you are issued a new international that has a single bunk, you can no longer have a passenger. Double bunk volvo's you still can. Hope that helps.

When are you suppose to start? Good luck. Just remember its a trucking company. There is a lot of positive bene's about raven and u will find out there are some pitfalls. But at the end of the day when you add them all up, you should still be on the up side of things.
