Truck Abandoment - The Legalities

Pick up the load and return the truck to Tacoma. He gave you a break when no one else would; now, return his truck.

 

If he is requiring you to run without 10's and 34's simply because you are paper logs, there is a whistle blower program and there is not an employer in this world that can do anything to you for reporting a company that wants you to run illegal.

 

I do however, agree with Chinatown. Get the load and take it back.

Maybe find a load headed that way on a load board, and tell him about it. Either way, I'd try to work something out with him, maybe meeting another team halfway, or something.

 

Call him and tell him where the truck is. You're NOT an employee

 

Calm down a little,call him, try to make a deal, get the truck back to him if at all possible. You will sleep better knowing you did the right thing, and it is the right thing to do.Be the better man.
