Okay, so i found the problem! It has ice in the big blue hose that goes from the air charge cooler to the turbo. It is frozen up solid. Now my question is how do I get that ice out what is the best way to get all that unfrozeb? Can i just unclamm that hose and get the ice out or can i have the truck run to bulld up its temp will that unfreeze the hose?

Do you have a block heater?

How did that ice get in there? I would try to bust it up and get it out enough to get truck running and then it will melt. Is your air filter full of water? I know condensation can form from hot to cold but that much???

I believe that my truck does have a block heater. My concern is since that hose had ice in it, how did it become that icy? I mean that hose should be for air only correct? I know we had that bad ice storm here these past few days, and I had just came back from OH where it was pretty much even worse than down here, but do I need to be worried about the possiblity that there is ice in the turbo now too? Or did this just happen because of the condensation of air? Im soo confused.

Well that was my concern too, how in the hell did it turn up with so much ice in that hose? I was in the winter storm last week for about 4 days straight and when we parked here in the yard the storm was just staring to hit us here, so I could see that being a possiblity MAYBE, but to have the whole hose in ice I am thinking someone is messing with my truck. The Air filter is dry!!! There is not a single bit of condensation, water or dampness to it at all. All the ice is on the bottom of the hose that goes from the Air Cooler to the turbo.

It's a common problem with Volvos, because that hose is the lowest point, it connects to the bottom of the CAC not to the top. It is not uncommon to have ice at the bottom of a charge air cooler. Running without a winter front in really cold weather can make it worse.

Well, thank you for that information and that comment you just made my night, and calmed my thoughts a bit. Well dang it, I should have figured it was a "VOLVO THING" that piece of......

Yup all other trucks run the hose to the top of the CAC, so you never have a problem the water stays at the bottom. Any time you cool or decompress air fast water will drop out of it. Going 60+ mph with a charge air cooler certainly qualifies.
There's nothing wrong with your truck.Meho1969 Thanks this.
