would seem to me anything you spend buisness related is tax deductible
had a friend that incorperated his small buisness
held stockholders meetings on grand caymon
of course you can deduct anything till you get audited -
Mine was.......
-
Of course it is, Just the same as your license and endorsements needed.
-
Yes, just like any other trade which requires you to have a paid license or job related expense.
-
only if you ITEMIZE your deductions and you have enough to deduct other that the $7000.00 credit they give you anyways...
Speedemon1084 Thanks this. -
Standard deduction is $5950 this year. Most average company driver's that elected per diem are better off using the standard deduction. You really need a mortgage, medical bills, investments to take you over the top. Every other company driver and all OO's are better off itemizing.
But to the OP the TWIC is a business expense and is deductible if you go that route. -
I heard on road dog radio, our government is no longe going to recongize TWIC as identifacation at Milatary bases.
-
Many bases never did, I have used my TWIC even at certain air ports as ID. But nothing is in stone where it has to be accepted other than ports, heck many ports do not even have the bio scanners yet.
-
Did "Dog" radio happen to mention what military bases then will recognize? In my world I think I have used the TWIC card maybe 3 times in as many years, all in Houston ports. Hardly worth it IMO.
