Hi Prairie Boy,would you happen to know if such Oilfield companies hire US citizen CDL Class A drivers?

 

Most won't unless your legally able to work in Canada.

ok tank you.. does legally able mean no criminal record/clean driving record? According to what I've seen on the Gov.website ,I would need a job offer from a company first before getting an actual work permit.

 

You'll need a gov't work permit or sponsorship like mentioned above.

 

Why not work in North Dakota?

 

I have interest in Canada.Personal reasons,I don't want to work in North Dakota if I don't have to.

Geez during the winter I think I would rather work down in Texas or somewhere with no snow and rigging in minus 30 temp ha ha
