I am beginning to not like these super-singles very much..... Stuck 2x in 2 days. They arent good on packed snow from a stop especially when empty. On another note, this thread is 1yr old tomorrow!!

I'd keep the super singles for a transmission that requires a clutch! Spun out in the customer's driveway this morning. I had to get someone to block traffic so I could back down the hill and hit it again!

Yeah, the autos (even if you shift manually) combined with the super-singles.... Ehhh..... Not too reliable in these conditions of packed snow. I am thinking about just leaving my hooks on the front bumper until Springtime at this rate LMAO!

Just logged into my youtube account, and this video popped up as a new one for my preferences, never saw it before. This one is freaky. This driver reacted OK in my opinion as far as his evasive maneuver to avoid running into the rear end of the car directly in front of him. He probably needed to be a second or two faster in reacting though. Just thought I'd throw the link up on here just to remind everyone to take it slow, leave good space, and be safe out there- especially in the bad weather! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEdmg_bdcLs

I don't want to be throwing stones. I have no trouble with this super singles. I think you would had the same problem with duels. In my opinion there are times I do believe I get better traction with them over a set of duels.

Individual results may vary I don't want to start a big debate.

Most of the times I got stuck with singles were probably the same instances that I might have gotten stuck with duels as well. In the winter its always a good idea to have a bag or two of kitty litter on the truck. A small folding shovel aka camp shovel aka entrenching tool is also a good idea. The kitty litter will give you traction if traction is all you are lacking. A shovel will help clear snow in front of drive wheels if that is an issue. Another good idea is to carry a butane torch for heating stuck brakes on trailers,of course with the new disc brakes, you may not be able to use that on them. I used my butane torch several times a couple years ago when we were getting hammered with snow storm after snow storm here at home. My trailer brakes were always stuck after being home more than 24hours due to air bleeding off.(Ive yet to have a trailer that didnt bleed air off over the weekend :-( I dont think they exist without leaks lol)

You should in one of the side boxes. If not you need to ask the shop for replacements. Otherwise you may run into a problem if you need towed off a slick patch. No way to attach a chain to the truck without them unless you want to chance damage to bumper. Some service guys have hooks but not all.
