I have 16 years experience otr and no accidents and one ticket in the past 7 years. I dont mind staying out 2-3 months before taking time off. Just perfer owner operators to drive for cause ur some one to them not a truck number. I was an owner operator for 5 years hauling cars and had 6 trucks. I have hauled just about every trailer out there besides a few I have hauled flatbed stepdeck hopper bottom reefer and dry van and of corse car trailers. I dont care where the owner operator is out of I live in south Mississippi off I-10. I am just wanting to drive for a good honest owner operator and dont care what I pull I have all endorsements except hazmat I dropped them when I renewed my licenses cause I wasnt pulling hazmat and it was a 175 to keep so I dropped everything else I have. You can email me at radams0974@gmail.com or call me 2282382996 if any owner operator is looking for a good hard working driver we can talk.

You should do lease purchase. I'm with Bee-Line Delivery Service out of Houston, TX. Been under my lease for just short of 2 years and have about 1 year left before I own the truck outright. Give them a call.

How often do they get through south Mississippi? I dont mind running 2-3 weeks out but I do like to pass through my home town in south Mississippi, thanks for the information I will look them up tomorrow.
-
I don't run through southern MS much, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get through home. The main lanes I run are between Texas, the Carolinas, Maryland/Virginia area. Did you talk with a recruiter today?

Slickricky is Beeline treating you alright? Are you on mileage or percentage pay? What can we expect to bring home after fuel and deductions?

38short,
Sorry for the delayed response...been super busy. I am on percentage pay and take home approx. $1000 per week after all expenses running OTR. I'm on the lease purchase. If you own your own truck already and run OTR, you should expect to take home $1400-$1500 per week after all expenses (except truck payment if you have one). If you run regional Texas, you will expect to take home $1000 per week (home weekends). Keep in mind that the company lease purchase trucks ONLY run over-the-road.
To answer your question on how I'm being treated.... I feel I am treated very respectively. I run my own business even though I am on Lease Purchase. I pave my own future and make my own paycheck. My driver manager has the loads and it is my responsibility to manage those loads on my truck...make sure fuel costs are as low as possible, etc. If I run my ### off and don't waste time on the road, then I'm treated like GOD at the company. If I were to screw up and over sleep, etc. then I would be pretty unpopular (on probation).
The company recently brought on a Director of sales, and I've seen a marked difference in the level of freight (even in the winter which is pretty unheard of). The freight is pretty stellar and pays well. They are doing a lot of drop and hook for dry van freight.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great New Year!!
