I was wondering what are some legit load boards to use? I will have an agent where I'm leasing on but I would like to keep my options open and explore other freight options if she doesn't have anything I'm interested in. Also, I will be pulling 48ft flatbed and can haul up to 65ft. So any and all advice is appreciated.

We post our loads heavily on ITS, LandstarBroker, and 360FreightMatch (DAT, MyMembersEdge.com, GetLoaded.com) Those five as well as Sammons, Coyote, CHR, and Access America should give you a good start.

Check credit scores, sign up for quick pays in certain areas if you don't have a lot of cash flow, and never move without a signed rate confirmation.

Many agents have it setup so that when we post to our loadboard is automatically posts to FreightMatch and ITS so it saves us time.

I personally use Getloaded.com a lot for my loads have a monthly fee but they have all kinds of loads for stepdecks/flats and pretty much pays for its self but I also check free sites like Mercer.com and Landstarbroker.com and im leased to sammons trucking we have broker board on our website

as a newbie i reccomend when u find a load going out , check your destination area for finding the next load,$2.00 a mile is no good if u have to deadhead 300 miles to get your next load... Good luck we were all new at one point... Brian S
