Kubota rates have sucked for years! I will only load them to avoid DH-ing home to TN on a Friday.
And LS will nickel and dime you. Especially if you like to enjoy lots of home time, the deductions add up quick.

How exactly did they nickle and dime you? My deductions were the same every week so staying out or going home really made no difference, not sure where you came up with this theory. But I will agree that I was never impressed with Kubota's rates, they were not the worst but def not the best either. I did haul from time to time though, if you find a good multi-stop it would pay ok.TheBigCat Thanks this.

I had the opportunity to bid on Kubota's business. I felt that the rates I put in were very competitive (maybe even cheap on some lanes). They reviewed my rates and declined to contract my company. That told me all I needed to know.

Kinda like the companies that bid on the spot market lds. from N.C. then broker them out??

I do about $2 mile from Kubota to WI/MN/IL. Sometimes it's slightly less, but if it gets me headed towards home then I'm good with it. I try to make the money headed into ATL or FL to even out the back rate. But as most know, I very seldom run out-n-back anymore. I prefer to stay out about 10-18 days and make as much as I can at the beginning of a month and take the other 10 days off at home.

That's a whole 'nother can of worms

Yeah and then you get one guy trying to dub for a $1.75 and then another broker has the same exact load for $3.18 a mile... there is a song about that I thunk it's called "things thant make you go hmmmm"
