Mitch, I would venture to say that's their cut off for company guys, if you lease on I don't see the problem living where you do. They run a ton of fertilizer out of Mulberry and Lake Wales. Pritchett likes to hire their company guys north of SR200 in Ocala in my opinion.
mitchtazz Thanks this. -
doubt it's a new fleet, but it's how some drivers are described, so i dont understand where TankerYaker got the fire from.
I'll have to check with them again then. When i check'd last time it was before i had money to buy a truck so i was only shooting for a company position. Thanks for the heads up. -
Question for you IRT drivers.
Do you think running regional up here in the northeast would be profitable? (I have foodgrade/tanker experience)
I have an offer from IRT to do the Johanna foods account semi-dedicated,filling in the 250 mile radius running for % most of the time.
So what do you guys think?
Thanks for any help. -
i'm a felon of 08; no tank experience but have endorsement, 21+ yrs otr. would IRT hire me from louisiana?
-
It depends on how many loads you can get done, some days would be better then others , honestly it dosent pay enough, if ether port is backed up or johanna dont have a empty your screwed. -
You're complaining about how easy the work is at irt? Are you ####### kidding me? The job isn't hard enough for you?! You PREFER to do a lot of unpaid extra work?!
-
My only question is why do you even care what other drivers do or don't do? I mind my own business and run how I want to run. The only times I've ever been late were due to my POS truck breaking down. IRT doesn't care how we run as long as we're on time, so why do you?
-
Not everyone likes to become fat and lazy sittin in a truck all day!!! When you speak of unpaid work you are talking about irt right? -
Not that I was addressing you, which i was not, whoever you are, but not everyone becomes fat and lazy from sitting in a truck all day.
And when I spoke of unpaid work, I was referring to companies who expect you to do a lot of extra work other than driving (which IRT doesn't even do so I don't know where you got that from) and don't pay you for it. Mitch wants to do more work so he can get more physical activity, but if he goes to a company where he'll actually get to do non-driving work, he won't get paid a dime for it. So either he somehow doesn't know that extra work doesn't mean extra money, or he's out of his mind.Last edited: Jan 7, 2013
