In Mavericks trucks there is plenty of room.
Blind Dog Thanks this. -
Thanks for all of the ideas. I started thinking about how the microwave was acting and how that it started shutting down after about 2 minutes and then would run again for another two minutes. Then in the end it would not run at all. I also thought about how this was the first time I had ever run that truck straight for three weeks every day without ever shutting off the power. So the thought came to me that maybe the inverter just needed a restart like we do.
So I went back up to the truck yesterday with the microwave and started the truck up, turned on the inverter, and plugged in the microwave.
It worked perfect. So for now the problem is solved. It was just tired....lol -
The Cascadia has about as much room as any truck you are going to find....unless it is a custom. With the mid roof you can stand up and never worry about bumping your head. They are very wide so you can walk back to the bunk without having to squeeze between the seats.Blind Dog Thanks this.

Thanks guys. The Pete 379 with 63 inch sleeper, was small but had enough room to live. The worst part, for me, was squeezing through the seats. Im only 5'7", 160lb. I cant imagine big guys.

I don't know if things have changed. I know on the 2011 the batteries are on a shared system. And you're supposed to turn off the inverter in the morning when you run your truck. That way the truck knows what's going with the batteries and it will charge the cranking batteries first then fully charge auxiliaries. That is per Freightliner. I have done it that way since the truck was new. And I've never had to replace a battery in over two years. My auxiliary air conditioner will run for over 12 hours and has never shut off.
I know some of you run refrigerators and run your inverters all the time. Maybe just shut it off for a hour and then turn it back on.JimTheHut Thanks this. -
I have had a great time being off all of this time, but last night I had a dream that I was wanting to get back on the road...so it must be time to get rolling again!....lol

Hey guys, Jim, I know we just got through the holidays, but, is it normal to take this long to hear from Maverick recruiting on whether or not your application is approved?
The biggest reason I ask, is another carrier has already given me the green light to attend orientation. Maverick states they are waiting to hear fro prior employer, other carrier says they've already heard. Is this a bad sign? -
Patience has never been a strong suit of mine.
