No jeep needed, tri-axle truck with a 20,000lb steerable drop axle. Some states like Ohio even with the stinger i can only get 80,000lb on my Quad. 20,000 per axle. But then in NJ i can get 52 on a tandem. Each state is different and has their own stupid set of rules. Some are necessary, others are excessive. Delaware, anything over 120,000 gross you need police and private escorts. But coming in through NJ or Maryland you don't need them. I guess they built their roads differently.

Ah, I get it now. In the western provinces we arent allowed to run drop axles, and quads are allowed so little weight or fall under needing special approval that its just not worth even having them in the fleet.

Pretty sure AB, SK, and MB are the most liberal when it comes to oversize, especially farm equipment. Hell in Manitoba you don't need beacons, and anything under 10 feet you better not put oversize signs on it.

And that's why OS stuff up here is so cheap. Especially anything going to the states. Yearly permits take the sting out of doing stuff like that. But then every yahoo is doing it.

That's for darn sure. That CaseIH stuff out of Saskatchewan that Sueway/ATS brokers is pathetic!

    60000lb coil tubing spool.
Was 5.1m high on that lowboy, going under 5.2m high overpasses was a bit unnerving

Light weight plastic tank, only hard part was keeping straps tight and not collapsing it since it was used.

I won't touch anything under 5$ a mile period. It costs me 3. Thats for anything that keeps me under 120 gross.

120-150 i'm at 10$ a mile without pilots, 12$ with 1, 14$ with 2, and it just adds up as the heights and widths add up.

Anything over 150 Gross i won't even go near for less than 18-20$ a loaded mile.

It sounds like great money, but the costs aren't too far off those numbers. Especially with pilots charging $265 just to get out of NYC per car.
