I would, but I don't really feel like walking to one. I also didn't know I was going to be sitting here this long. They finally gave me a load that picks up at 9AM tomorrow about 2 hours away.

4 days for a PM? What the hell are they doing a full engine/transmission overhaul?

My truck was supposed to be ready today, BUT the mechanics have a day off today. It is supposed to be ready tomorrow at 1600. I'll see how that turns out. But yes, about to get a room for the second night.

Don't feel bad....about the same story here at Crete....

....also....gotta man-up and say I did indeed learn something. Those squarish S's on some of the trucks....I never knew what those were and had meant to ask more than once, but always forgot to. Glad to now know what they indicate. Can't recall the last time I saw one, though....it's been quite a little while....

I learned something then. I honestly never paid it any attention until now. I've seen some here and there. I seen some orange and some black regional with square-ish S and the color is slightly off. They are getting newer trucks too. The black one with orange writing was a new Cascadia.

I have yet to see a Schneider Transport driver in a Cascadia. The easiest way to tell if it's a union truck is the name that's printed on the sidebox door. If it says "Schneider National" then it's just a regular peon. If it says "Schneider Transport" then it's a special union peon.

As others have mentioned SNI can't get rid of it's few remaining union guys fast enough. The only two union shops - Green Bay and Seville - got closed down. I'll believe that just the threat of going to his union rep would fix almost any problem a Schneider Transport driver is having. With so few of them left it's easier just to keep them quiet than to get the union involved.

So who in green bay can we talk to about this ambient sensor? I'm getting tired of not being able to idle at 15 or colder. I can stay awake till 1am when temps drop to 0 and then idle. But when do they expect us to sleep? As much as I hate leaving I think it's time to find a new home. Maybe I'll retire and just become a door greeting at Sam's or Walmart.
