did you get a 2 year card or a 1 year card? normally they get the results the same day and it takes them 48 to 72 hours to interpret the results. I had to go to a private school for my cdl. So I have a 1 year and a 2 year card. The 2 year I got for my permit and I initially got a 3 month card for the company sponsored physical because of my diabetes. I had to get a check up with my pcp just to get a 1 year card. Now I am in a waiting pattern for a final clearance then I get to go to orientation.

Well hopefully I will get a student this time out, if not this week maybe next. Going to get rusty if they don't hurry up. :)

Day 2 in Gary. More paperwork, good safety presentation, distracted driving video, HAZMAT video and test, pre-trips on a flatbed, then he showed us a curtainside and a van. More homework tonight and another 6:30 am pickup tomorrow.

I am impressed with the instructors and the company so far (I know- day 2). We'll get split into groups for the baseline drives around the track in the yard, so the instructor can see what he has to work with. I don't worry yet, because I have no idea how I will do. Different truck, different trailer. I seriously do not know if I will have absolutely no problem (like in school) OR if I am a hot mess after not driving for awhile. We'll see tomorrow I guess.

Nottoway, good to see you got to sleep in today.:biggrin_25523:

Treefork, I forgot if you were van or flatbed. We got 4 van folks at orientation here in Gary that will be done next Monday!

I walked out of the DOT exam with a 1-year card in my wallet. Hopefully the delay will be resolved soon.
