Fatal Crash on I-70. Car drives under semi trailer

some of those comments on the article raised the ol BP.....sad indeed....

 

Oh that's not gonna buff out.

I hate to see a kid die unnecessarily. It could of been avoided if many things were different. Fell asleep? Texting? Tire Blow out? Someone commented they knew him and how it happened but he can't say why. That sounds like word got out from the other texter if he already knows. Why is a 19yr old burning the roads up at 0445?

But I'd say SWIFT is in high water too. The video said the truck broke down at 8pm the night before. It was sitting outside a major city for 9 hours and a driver freezing. Swift really cared. The presence of no parking signs indicate an off ramp.

I'd say the triangles were put out after the fact because unless the car swerved the last second he would of hit the 10' triangle. They blow over easy too.

 

Kid might have been scheduled to work at 0500 and was running late.

Swift driver may have been a L/O, and elected to wait until he could get parts delivered instead of paying for an expensive tow out of pocket.
