team runs but we have down time between loads, waiting for loads to cross the border up to 18hr's or waiting for reloads 1-12hr's

our loads pay better than usx loads thats why we can sit more and why a apu would be handy

That is the main thing that did not get done and the reason for the seven batteries and separate starter module. We are installing a heat pump but it did not arrive in time.

Hate enjoyed the thread and blog. I have almost 2 million miles and kids ark all gone now and wife is looking for a school so we can team. A cpl questions.... while pulling the van what did you average a week? We will prob stay out 6-8 weeks at a time. Also can you have only one pet? We have a cat but thinking bout getting another dog, ours passed recently.
    Thx for the info

As company drivers, taking all time off and breakdowns into account, we averaged 4600 miles a week for the whole year. Weeks you are running the full week you will easily take home $1,000 to $1,200 each a week after taxes and all the other deductions.
As far as pets go, company policy is one pet. If they catch you with more than one in the truck they will fire you (so I was told). In our two years there, nobody ever checked.
Hope this helps and very glad you have enjoyed the blog.
