Apologies for the double-post. Something screwy occurred when i posted the first link, my entire browser started blinking and it showed the post didn't take.

Really?!?! PGT doesn't take out state tax? I swear, its like I'm being talked out of coming to PGT. Between the small sleeper trucks, and the tax issue, what else do I need to know about PGT? I had a job offer driving a blue KW, I should have taken it. Oh well, to late now.
Sorry cjr, please, keep us posted.

Its depends on what on what state you live in. I live in Va and they took state taxes out on me. During orientation they somewhat explained why it was some states and not others. Cant remember.exactly though. Also your not employed by pgt technically. You work for sudbury express which leases yourservices to pgt ;). Pgt technically has no drivers. Sudbury is addressed outta gary and maybe it has something to do with them being located there. Hope that helps some.

Btw i have left pgt. Nothing wrong with them. Even though i thought about it alot and knew what i was getting in tonit im man enough to admit being away from home is not for me. Come to find out my gf was doing a good job covering how she felt. So i decided to come home. I think pgt is a great company. From all my expirences they were great people to work with and for. I felt that they really care about the ppl that work for them. Alittle bummed bc i really really loved hauling the skateboard but my gf and family is much more important. It was nice on my last load i did, i had an old hand compliment me on my work. Also doesnt hurt my old boss had called me about the samtime and said he started a new wrecker business and asked me to run it paying me what i would have made at pgt. Got a brand new '13 rollback so i still got a flatbed.......just alil shorter.

I also live in N.C. so I ASSUME that means I will also have state tax issues?
I guess I need to call Phil, again, and figure this out. My "warm and fuzzy" feeling is gone tho.

the tax thing has to do with agreements between states over it. i lived in SC years ago and drove for a company out of mississippi and had the same issues. talk to a tax pro(preferably someone who deals with truckers), take a couple pay stubs with you and they can set you up with what you need to do.

I remember the days of learning which truckstops were nice with big parking lots and which ones weren't. Takes a few years, but eventually you will know where your going to stop on most the states you frequent. Glad to hear you got something headed back north. Keep up the good work

Want a bigger sleeper, buy your own truck with one. And the state tax deal isn't that hard to do if you can trust yourself NOT to touch the funds once you put them aside.
