How will the new hos changes affect expedited freight drivers

    How will the new hos rule changes affect expedited freight drivers? Will they be exempted on some of the new rule changes ie the restart hours etc. Will the expedited freight rates increase as I am thinking of moving from line haul to expedited freight

    The 34 was changed. July 1, drive 8, 30 min break, drive 3 (unless 14 is out). Nothing else really changed in the way of 11/14.

    No difference between the two.


    Rates will probably not be affected either. Economy influences them, not the HOS.
