CSA only affects you if there is a CVSA inspection report. Even in a CMV, a ticket without that inspection report = no CSA points. In your personal vehicle, there isn't going to be any CVSA inspection...so there will be no CSA points assigned.

And as for Chicago drivers, the last time I was up there it was ridiculous! Speed limit was 65...then 65/55 split. I was in my pickup truck, so I was still running 65 and being passed like I was backing up. Then the speed limit dropped to 55 for everybody...but I'm pretty sure I was the ONLY one who slowed down. The next morning, I was on my motorcycle...and I don't care about the speed limit, I'm going to run with the flow of traffic because I don't want to get run over. 80 mph and I was STILL being passed in a 55 mph zone. What makes it worse is the lawmakers most against raising the speed limit in the state are ALL from up there where it is SUPPOSED to be 55 mph. Either the 55 mph limit needs to be enforced, or they need to raise it up to what people are already doing. I shouldn't have to choose between my life or my livelihood during my 1 or 2 personal trips up that way per year.

I dont "plan" on speeding but keeping with the flow is always good. I admit I do drive 80 to and from work, I just never get looked at because I'm in a Prius. I live in so cal and only on the weekends can you consistently keep one speed.

My question was to satisfy my curiosity since cmv's seem to be scrutinized more than civilians.

I'm the type that does my homework and wants know as much as I can before I do something. I read this board daily and have learned a ton.

the original question wasnt stupid, but reprimanding someone making a joke in the midst of several people trying to help you is. i know im a little less likely to spend time answering a question from you in the future.
