1st; while i can agree that while on line 4 for up to 11 hours a day there is no privacy. What about the other 13 or so hours a day. Does the camera shut off when you put go to something other than line 4? 2nd; You people with the "if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to worry about" mentality are a huge part of the reason our govt and our companies are so overbearing and dis-respectful of us. We should ALWAYS, on basic principle, resist any and all loss of our privacy and liberty. You give "them" an inch and "they" will take a mile. The inches we are giving them today will all add up to a mile soon enough.

They're already in charter/greyhound buses. Of course, they're not sleeping in there, usually, but it is not over-the-rainbow crazy to think that they wouldn't put these in trucks. They might say it only records a certain amount in case of a collision, but you know the abuse of these types of things over the years. There will be some nerd behind the scenes watching you masturbate and screwing lot lizards.

OnStar built into GM autos does the axact same thing and they do not tell you about it either. someone found out and it was admitted a few years ago. I have no doubt that this guy is correct.

Why are you quoting a post made by a member who was banned?

Not saying it's spam as you actually brought up a good point. Thing is though, that member can't reply as they aren't here.

Well, the spyware in the sleeper would violate too many privacy regulations, but I can see the point in having a windshield mounted unit. When it's your word against theirs, it's nice to have a camera backing you.

Well, the 4th amendment doesn't protect privacy. That's a state issue. The 4th protects against unlawful search and seizure from law enforcement.

As I earlier said:

I know when i went to SRT they showed us vidoe from 2006. it was vidoe that showed the road the driver seat the passenger seat and a look from the front back onto the bunk. guy wrecked his truck his wife was naked in the bunk when she came jumping up front. now they did sensor it to show us the vidoe as part of their safety class. they dont have the cameras in trucks but are looking to put them back in and did say if they do we would have to sign papers or find new work.
Personal I own my own truck again and wont be putting any thing like this in my old girl. I am not having some company get off watching me do things with my wife or watching the other things i do in my truck nor would i work for a company that if i was in their truck made me have that crap....i would live with elog if i had to but i try my hardest not to even do that i am back on paper logs again and making more money.....lol
