Samurai.. I appreciate your opinion and im glad you shared it! If you don't mind I ask .. what do you guys do to cope with the boredom? My old job was manual labor and very mindless boring work.. I found that podcast and Audible.com saved my life. If you guys haven't used Audible.com.. its really good.. you can get just about any book in audio form for you Ipod ect. I have read/listened to so many books.. keeps the mind active and passes time like crazy.

well when i am driving i listen to the radio since i have not gone the way of ipods or xm radio. i listen to Bob and Tom in the morning and try to mix up the music and occasional talk radio when i find it. I buy the occasional graphic audio cd. I am hooked on Deathlands. Also chat it up on the cb at times. i also munch on almonds and drink lots of water. i have fun looking in people's windows and honking for little kids. when not driving i read gun magazines and books. or i go into the truck stop and watch shows with other drivers.

Last weekend home with the family... bags are packed.. application/paperwork filled out. Anyone recommend something not on the list that you wish you brought for school/training at Millis?

Baby Wipes are a MUST have if not already on the list. Trust me - you'll need them sooner or later!

Week 1 is complete... Had a good time.. went on a road drive yesterday... nothing like bob tailing with 6 guys who are rookies in the rain... but it actually went well. Stopped at a BBQ joint for lunch. Good food! The instructors switched trucks before we headed out. We had Dave originally and now we have Greg for the rest of the schooling. Dave is very good.. but Gregg has a way of making you feel a little more comfortable and slowing things down for you. I have no complaints so far.. Now if I could only downshift! We start backing on Monday... Can't wait!

PS... If you stay at the Hotel in Cartersville and dont have a fridge/microwave. Just ask for one. I spent all week on fast food because I had neither.. when I went into the lobby Friday before school I asked the front desk. Came "home" to a clean room with a cold fridge and microwave. Now to do some shopping.
