I love the flat top look but im 6' 2" and i dont think i would be comfortable in there, or would I? Does anybody know how it is like inside the flat top? I.e sitting on the bed or walking to the back(how far you got to bend down). I wanna buy my own truck in a couple years and really want a flat top but can't seem to find measurements on the inside of the sleeper from the floor up, can anybody help? Pics or your experience in a flat top peterbilt will be greatly appreciated.

I am also 6'2" and owned a flat top Peterbilt. I could not stand up without bending my head down or bending my knees. I don't recall the actual measurements, but you can be fairly comfortable in the sleeper other than being able to stand up straight to put your pants on. You don't spend that much time standing up in the sleeper, anyway. I would guess that it is about 5' 8" tall, but that is just a guess.

Thanks for the info. I love the flat top its bad ### looking lol i figure I wont be spending much time in the sleeper anyway im going to be driving to make that money. I seen some 70" sleepers today they look cool but the flat top is bad ###. Im leaning more toward the flat top though it looks pretty comfortable to me for some reason. I still got some years before I buy my own truck just thinking ahead and planning everything out as far as style and cost and tires, engine and just everything. One last thing can anybody tell me any pros and cons about buying a used truck. Im looking at brand new one cause you don't know what somebody else drives like and they could beat the hell out of the truck. Brand new is more money but I think its worth it to have no miles and brand new tires, motor, tranny, bed, wires and all that. But I did find some nice and cheap used ones just too many miles

i am 5'7 and drive a flat top 388 on a regular basis. I can not stand all the way up in it. i have to lean my head forward when standing. the roof is well above my shoulders. It really is not to bad, you can put your pants on without doing it laying down you just have to lean forward witch you are doing reaching down to put them on anyway. The flat top I drive is a 48" flat top and the sleeper does not feel as cramped as you would think. its got a lot of storage for the size sleeper it is. if i had a choice i would certainly get the 63 inch flat top over the 48 however.

A dirty truck is a money making truck lol and true you can always sit on the bed and put your pants on. Im definitely going with the 63" sleeper but I did think about the 48" though but changed my mind. I hope I can drive for a company with flat top peterbilts before I buy my own but if I don't ill just get in it before I buy it. 150,000(basically) is a lot of cash to drop on a brand new truck but I would rather it be new then have problems with it and end up having to repair a tranny. Sorry if im just going on and on I love trucks and will be driving by april so im excited. And I look at trucks all day and I think I burnt my wife out of talking about them so what better place then truckers report to talk about them lol.

Oh and for the 6' 2" drivers, is plenty of room between your head and the top when your sitting on the bed? It looks small in pictures

The 63" has plenty of room in it as long as you don't bring the entire house with you the pictures make it look smaller than it really is.. I'm right at 6' and I can sit up in the bed..

Ima just have clothes and ill probably even take one of the cabinets out and put a little fridge where it was and ill probably put a 22" tv on the passenger wall of the sleeper and that's it. No need to have too much stuff in there

Gee your gonna have a $150,000 truck and not have any clothes to change from one day to the next? Just saying. Most trucks like that usually come with a built in fridge. Not telling you what to do , be a downer but get some time under your belt before you chew off too much , see what you like to do as far as hauling goes. Unless you have $150,000 dollars laying around you will be looking at a hefty payment along with other expenses. Good luck in your endeavors.
