My friend, when you make the choice to get behind the wheel of a vehicle ANY VEHICLE...while you've been drinking, that in itself IS a Very serious crime. IT says that you have No respect for any other driver/s that you come into contact with. It makes no difference about what kind of an excuse you make....a woman being a very poor one....

Thanks for your input!!I'm an adult and take responsibility for the actions i've made, but both times i was charged i had a little help from a certain someone..And as far as my DWLR i've always been a hard worker and have worked since the age 14..I was caught going to or from work on all accounts with the exception of one..I'm not or have never been a bad person, and i'm a good listener..But thanks

Don't get offend, but go back and look at your responses. You say you take responsibility for your actions, but you claim to have had a little help from a "certain someone". That in and of itself is blaming someone else not taking responsibility. You did it and NO ONE made you do it! Deal with it. No one said you were not a hard worker however YOU were driving with your license suspended and YOU knew it. Again deal, it was your fault not the fault of anyone but you!

I am sorry if this hurts your feelings, but I am tired of drivers out here Whining and not taking responsibility for things they do. Two DWI's really? Get out of the truck and work on yourself before climbing back into one!

You need to find a local "Training Company" to get hired.

Even though you already have a license you will need to participate in their training program.

Nobody is going to just put you in a truck, if they do that is a big red flag!

You have to "pay your dues" and build a resume.

derwood ...I never implied I was better or worse than Gardner...just gave him a straight forward, honest opinion....and BTW he DID ask for opinions and advice. And as far as being perfect there was only one perfect person ever born and that was Jesus Christ. Besides DWI"S and DWLR's ARE NOT mistakes.....they are choices...REALLY bad ones.

i dont think anyone is questioning your ability to drive a truck. that is the most minor part of the job, one that most can be taught to do.
what is far more important is good judgment. a company takes a pretty big chance each time they hand the keys to an 80,000 lb vehicle to someone. will he know when to stop before he falls asleep and kills a busload of children? will he get so angry he tailgates and causes an accident that way? will he drink himself into a stupor and then head down the road? this is why many companies have a fairly strict screening process when it comes to past transgressions.

as far as having paid for your past mistakes, it wasnt nearly enough in my opinion. nothing personal, but a 2nd dui/dwi should always come with a 10 year prison sentence and loss of driving privileges forever. the state is far too lenient on dui/dwi...this is a big reason why it continues to happen.
