Where can I find good drivers?

Hum, I prefer buck a mile, get up at 8am, shower, breakfast, drive 2hrs on a new Pete, lunch, then done by 6pm....sleep at a Hilton at night, repeat!!!!!


Really, if you have to ask, sell the trucks!!!

 

Hate to say it but thats not the drivers fault !
We all know what its like out "there" it's the same for us all.

 

so you pay all of your other expenses, but you want to short change the driver? a driver is an expense, if you dont pay your fuel bill, you have no fuel, dont pay the electric bill, you have no electricity, if you dont want to pay your drivers, you have no drivers

sounds like all the rest of these companies

 

so everything is going, drivers are supposed to make do with less

arent drivers people? dont we also have to deal with increased costs?

i dont understand some of these companies

instead of raising the rates, they short the driver

It is so simple . If you are a good company then the good drivers will find you . So it is like the old saying goes if you want to fix the problem the first place to look is in the mirror.

If you are just another crappy company all you will ever get is just another crappy driver .

 

32cpm x 500mi/day x 5 days = $800/wk x 52wks = $41,600/yr

 

They teach this in Management 101. When having a meeting about cutting costs, always consider cuts to inventory, training, equipment, and labor wages and benefits; but, never question whether cuts in administration or manager benefits and perks (company cars?) need to be made.

 

If you had work for like saturday and Sunday tru streets I might be half tempted to work those two days other wise it's not worth my time Monday thru Friday I'm makeing a stack plus. I've just been bored on the weekends
