Flatbed rates i was quoted today

Was it the silver colored trks?

 

Nope bunch of companies that ive never heard of before. Mostly middle eastern speaking fellas.

 

Common sense really is not that common.

 

I woner if these lds. were booked by another company and then brokered them out. Cpape knows what I mean about this on going nightmare..

 

I hauled a coil on my rgn before as an LTL....had a Bushmaster on paying over $3 per mile, coil paid another 1.25pm. I have no shame, I'm a ##### for money....best part was kickin the coil off 1st...got some stares and comments for that one. but then again, I made over $4 per mile, I dont give a #### what anyone thinks

 

Now I know why my coil rates are in the toilet, $1.25 no matter the weight, is way to cheap for a coil. Its a dog eat dog world out here which only hurts everyone at some point or another.

I called on one going south through VA yesterday. GMC pickup pulling a 2 axle flatbed with an Acura on it. Guy had 2 1" unrated ratchet straps TIED to the right side of the trailer deck and hooked to the left side of the car. One good bump and that car would be bouncing right off the trailer. I was running at 70, and he blew by me and was weaving through traffic. smh
