i guess it would depend on your definition of "extra". alot of stuff we do over here and don't get paid for, other companies pay their drivers for. so would you say we're not getting paid for extra work? if so then i guess you'd be out of your mind for working here also.
don't really care what another driver does. this is a discussion board/forum, earlier you spoke of how dispatch tried to put a load on you with a tight schedule. i point'd out that there are drivers that could and would actually do that run and not think twice about it.. i guess i made a mistake in using the term "Hard Charger" in my post cause it kinda set a few users off (still aint figure out why). But in the end, it's all just a discussion, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
it's not even so much the fat part i'm worried about, it's the laziness. Almost 11hr a day in the same spot. there's no real thought process to this. I don't have to concentrate and calculate working load liits, worry about axle weights, load position, height or half of the stuff i had to think about with flatbed and van.. I just have to focus on surge, and after awhile there's not much you can do about it.
sometimes the oppertunity to just do the work in it's self is it's own reward. it's not always about the money (although it plays a factor). if it was all about the money then i doubt you'll be at IRT, because you could do better with you experience.
donno, i don't babysit my bank account. but i look'd and it show'd that the deposit went in yesterday. -

Done that more times than I can count. The eastbound scale in Maryland on 70 is almost never open. I wouldn't worry about it.

Been back at IRT since September and I've been to jersey once. Been to the NE only twice. 80-90% of my time is spent west of the Mississippi...don't know what all changed in July and August when I was gone but things for me at IRT have never been better.

FYI don't bother showing up before 0630-0700 at land o lakes in tulare anymore if you're picking up. There's one loader and he isn't there before 7.
