I was just in a terrible accident. Don't know how to explain but I will try. We were going down I84 in new York on mm 68.2. My codriver an I were talking but I was going slow because I will admit I was scared an the conditions were bad. A new Penn truck tries to pass me but jackknives. I hit the rear of his trailer. I thought my codriver an I were going to die tonight. It was wild the Penn driver was given a ticket for going to fast for conditions. I wasn't given anything. Now me an my driver don't want to drive anymore. I think we have PTSD I don't know. It happened tonight an I almost wanna cry. Just want to go home now. Don't really know what to do

The roads will be cleaned up soon and you can continue on your way. Maybe your hours will be used up and your co-driver can finish the trip. -
Does your company have an EAP program? You need to call someone and talk this out. PTSD after a major accident is no joke. My best to you, Bill

Take a deep breath. True it is a hard experience to get in an accident like this, but you both are alive! Take some time off and get some counseling. CRST has a EAP, Employee Assistance Program, Take advantage of it! Both you and your co-driver. As for safer, Regional or even local for that matter is still full of perils! Good luck to you.

Maybe change to a regional area where there is less congestion and longer warmer weather year round on average.

Breath in Breath out. Calm down, it happens But if you need some time take it, but at least get back in a truck within the next 2 weeks or might never get over the fear and there goes a career you wanted to try. go ahead and cry. Nobody got hurt or died, just briused egos so to speak. It happens..
Get some rest. Today is a new day...warrior81 Thanks this. -

Getting over a crash is hard. I saw a fatally wreck happen 30 feet from me. (Was turning right off four lane city street , car turned left , not knowing a truck was coming beside me . She just saw me. ) . Was rough few days after. Know I saw her , but quests mind is blocking it. Car ended up under the truck . The pass door was where we could get to it . It would not open. Me and the other driver pulled the top of the door down to it touched the ground , but the cabin was so crushed we still could not see her in there. It's hard but you can get through this. There is help you can get you through!
