Well, it is true that you can make good money working as a driver. The pay per km can look attractive, but there are lots of considerations. The ability to actually move in this country can be a huge factor in the discussion. Just a week or so ago there was a storm that blew through the mountains in British Columbia (the western most province of Canada) that closed all the highways that lead out from the coast (where Vancouver and it's suburbs are) to the rest of Canada. If you were hauling and being paid by the km then you were not being paid at all for the time you spent waiting for the incompetent road maintenance companies to reopen the highways.

Another member of this site suggested that many people quit after the first while with the company that brought them over... be careful to check Canada's immigration laws and how exactly you are coming to Canada. If you are using a guest worker visa then you are no longer allowed to stay in Canada if you quit the job with the people who brought you over and you are stuck in a job that might not be a good fit. Do your due diligence and check it all out in advance.

No matter what you decide, good luck and keep it between the lines.

That's it exactly. No matter how much we disagree with it, it's the way business works. No company interested in making money is gonna lose profit just because they want to be fair to the consumer.

In Canada, you can buy a $12-15 bottle of Argentinian Melbec or Merlot, that really is a good wine in that price range. You can also buy a good Canadian wine in the same price range. But if you want to start paying temporary farm labor $25 or whatever an hour, you won't see many Canadian wines on the shelf and those you'll see won't be affordable to most. So in the end the temp labor won't have a job at all and every other job that got the wine to the store will be worse off for it, and you'll kill an industry and and the tax revenue it generated.
