I've been with WEL for 6 months. It's a decent company if ya like doing lots of ltl, but not so much if ya wana run instead of bump docks all day. Anyway, I found out today that they expect me to take a sleep study and pay 250 bucks myself with probable 2500 when they say I have sleep apnea.. which I bet they probably always will. Hell no I ain't gonna take a sleep study that will cost more then I make in a month! So I'm lookin again, and I'm thinking flatbed after 10 yrs of holding a steering wheel.
Does anyone know if Western Express is any good? They have a terminal near home, Greenville, SC. Or any other suggestions?

i was told by the doctor that gave me my dot physical in dec 2012 that it was a requirement now if your neck was 17 inches and your mass body index was [well can't member what number he gave sorry ] but bottom line if your over weight it's mandatory you take the test so he said i didnot fall in the range but i know several drivers had to take the test with last company i worked for and company didnot pay it was around $1200 for the test not counting the machine so good luck

Nice. How many drivers have that kind of disposable cash on hand? I know I don't. The day I have to pay that much money just to keep driving is the day I find another line of work.
